This weekend we have Freak Boutique on Saturday, the Blues Brothers on Sunday, Kevin Isaacs’ Comedy Elvis on Monday, Simply Mo’s Michael Jackson Tribute on Tuesday and Jason’s Boy George Show on Wednesday … that’s it so far … apart from one of our famous BBQ’s on Wednesday again!

All shows starting at 9.45pm, but don’t come too late if you want a good seat

Wow!

We have a really busy week ahead of us at Cheers Bar in Tenerife and we hope you will be able to join us.

Last night was a Special Meal prepared by one of our Chefs, David.  We will be posting some photos soon, but suffice to say the food and atmosphere was fantastic.

Tonight (Saturday) we have Anthony Scott’s Billy Connolly tribute show, a great favourite for Cheers Bar customers.

Tomorrow (Sunday) Anthony will be back with us, but performing his own show – this should be a real treat and it is something that not many people will have seen here in Tenerife as yet, don’t miss it.

Monday sees another newcomer to our entertainment schedule when the Legendary Buddy Graham will introduce you to Freddie Starr – apparently this will be Rude, Crude and Hilarious, now how tempting is that?

On Tuesday we are pleased to welcome back Simply Mo’s tribute to the King of Pop, the late Michael Jackson.  The feedback we have been receiving following Mo’s last two performances has been incredible and at the moment the only place that he is performing this new show is for us here at Cheers Bar.

Finally (for now) on Wednesday we will be having one of our brilliant BBQs.  Get your tickets from the bar for only 8 Euro per person (children only pay 5 Euro) for what will be a fun packed evening with Karaoke and games hosted by our very own resident compere “Scotch Eddie“.

This weekend, at Cheers Bar, we have a Double Comedy Weekend!

What do we mean ‘Double Comedy’?

Well, on Saturday night we have the fantastic Freak Boutique, a brilliant 70’s comedy duo that will have you rolling around the bar … you better beware, you better take care, you better watch out if you have long blonde hair ….

Then on Sunday, sunglasses and hats on, for The Blues Brothers, who will take you through the great songs and routines that Jake and Elwood made famous.

As a lot of people were, and still are, we were shocked on Thursday to hear of the death of one the greatest performers there has been in the Pop world, Michael Jackson.

His death has brought a tragic end to a long and bizarre career – no matter what you thought of Michael Jackson, he was without doubt one of popular music’s premier all-around performers who has at times dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

On Tuesday night, here at Cheers Bar in Tenerife we will be hosting what we hope will be a great evening of entertainment with Simply Mo’s Tribute to Michael Jackson.

Our comedy themed weekends are proving to be very popular and we are pleased to let you know that we are giving you another opportunity to come along to Cheers Bar this weekend and watch not one but two great comedians!

On Saturday, 27th June we will ‘have’ the outrageous Billy Porter with us … if you haven’t seen this guy yet, you really must come along to enjoy his show!  To be honest, even if you have seen him before, we are sure that he will still have you rolling around the bar in hysterics!

On Sunday night (28th June) the fantastic Anthony Scott will be joining us with his incredible Billy Connolly show.

Many have tried to mimic ‘The Big Yin’ but few have managed to ‘pull it off’ like Anthony does.

Last time he was with us at Cheers Bar the place was packed out, so make sure you get here early enough to get your seat …

As well as being able to watch all the top Sport, and enjoy some beautiful home cooking from our new menus, we have a couple of superb comedians lined up for your entertainment in the evenings.

On Saturday we have the outrageous Billy Porter from 9:30 pm and then on Sunday we have a Anthony Scott’s Billy Connolly show from 9:30 pm.

Both of these guys will have you roaring with laughter during their shows – neither one to be missed, come early to make sure you have a seat, and enjoy the Cheers Bar Comedy Weekend!

Can you believe it?  One of our regulars celebrated his 77th Birthday with us yesterday!

Frankie has been coming to our bar for a number of years now and we are so pleased that, once again, he decided to have his Birthday Bash with us.

The evening started around 7pm and the BBQ was fired up soon after that.  We had some great singers (including Frankie himself) and one of our favourite comedians, Billy Porter, entertained us for well over an hour (thanks Billy, those of us that were there will look at Velcro in a different light now!)

Everyone seemed to have great time and our good friend Betty even got up on stage to sing and dance with Billy a couple of times, what a mover she is!

The Honeymoon couple in the corner didnt seem to know what to make of Billy to start off with, but by the end of his set they were laughing with the rest of us.  He even managed to get the chap with Hawaiian shirt to remove it at one point!

At the end of his show Billy very kindly made the draw for our raffle and you can see the photos of the winners receiving their prizes in our Photo Gallery.  As the second prize winner was going home the next day she generously passed the prize on to someone else so that they could enjoy it – thank you for that.

Although it was his night off Simply Mo was also in the Bar and was able to perform a couple of requests, a great rendition of ‘I will talk and Hollywood will Listen’  went down very well!

After that it was time for Suzie to present Frankie with his Birthday Cake and yet another performance of ‘Happy Birthday to You’.

Although the entertainment had to stop soon after, Natalie, Claire and of course Scotch Eddie were kept busy until the early hours of the morning, but don’t worry they will be ready to start all over again today.

There will be Guest Singers after the football and of course there will be Karaoke for those that want to join in.

Where were you last night?

If you weren’t with us at Cheers Bar Tenerife then you missed a brilliant night!

We had the fantastic Billy Porter with us again and he had everyone splitting their sides.  Jaws were aching by the end of the night, there were tears of laughter flowing strongly.

Make sure you dont miss his next show with us on the 23rd May and then every couple of weeks after that.
